Thredbo is getting all jazzed up to once again play host to the popular Thredbo Jazz Festival, this year taking place in the NSW Snowy Mountains on 2 ? 4 May. The 2014 program is sure to excite lovers of jazz music as it features three of the country?s best female vocalists in the line up.
?Celebrating 27 years of spectacular jazz in Australia, the Thredbo Jazz Festival has always drawn a large crowd in to the village to enjoy fabulous jazz music in a beautiful alpine setting,? said Ian Foster, General Manager of The Lantern Property Group which operates Lantern Apartments, Lhotsky Apartments and Elevation Apartments amongst others.
?The festival is back where it should be at the beginning of May and this year women are in charge. Amongst a typically eclectic line up of Australian and international performers, the Festival will have three amazing female vocalists at the helm with Monica Trapaga, Mahalia Barnes and Ms Murphy all ready to enthrall audiences in Thredbo,? Ian continued.
Monica Trapaga is a long standing star of Australian jazz, Mahalia Barnes shares a love of soul music with her father Jimmy, and Ms Murphy stunned Australian audiences on ?The Voice? with her powerful vocals and unique sensitivity. These ladies will join an awesome festival line up including George Washingmachine with French jazz Chanteuse Tricia Evy. Also playing is the legendary Bob Barnard with his prodigious trumpet supporting many performances over the weekend.
To coincide with the three day jazz party, the Lantern Property Group is offering visitors a package which includes three night?s accommodation for the price of two. The package also includes accommodation and a full weekend festival pass. All bookings made before 31 March can get the early bird package price from only $320 per person twin share.
