The Mountain crew have been making snow on Merrits Cruiser, High Noon, ?the Crackenback?Supertrail and Friday Flat and ?based on the current weather forecast they are? are pretty confident that we will have The Cruiser, ?High Noon and Friday Flat all open for skiing next weekend.
If you haven't been to Thredbo for the Opening Weekend then you are in for a treat. ?it is one of the biggest party weekends of the season and when there is good snow conditions to boot, ?the party is even better. ?Check out the program below for the opening of Thredbo's 60th Snow Season.

Thredbo Ski Museum 60 Years of getting Stoked. ? Check out the full history of Thredbo in the Ski Museum with photos, videos and tonnes of artifacts (who are you calling an Artifact!) in the museum and around the village. ?All Weekend.
Family Fun all weekend with the "Amazing Race" Treasure hunt, face painting, ceramic art workshops, roving magicians, Thredboland animals, snow play and snow tube riding, Thredbo Custom T Shirt Tent and that all before you strap on any skis or boards.
Heineken Village Concert Series. ?In the Thredbo's Village Square from 4.30pm to 9.30pm. ?This is a live music party not to be missed. ?The first band to fire up are 19Twenty, ?this young trio brought the house down at the Thredbo Blues Festival with their High Energy covers and original music that demands dancing from anyone in earshot. ?Next up will be Beatmaker Producer Alice Ivy?a Triple J Listen Out Winner who is bringing her personal party to Thredbo.? After Alice comes the Faders?throwing down their party set to keep the square bopping until the finale with the Triple J Unearthed fave?Montaigne bringing her ?Baroque Eighties Pop power to bear on a village square that will be well and truly ready.

Thredbo Opening Weekend Fireworks. ?This is 20 minutes or more of seriously good fireworks exploding over the snow covered Ramshead Range and echoing in the Thredbo valley for effect. ?Be on the deck of the Bistro or on your balcony at the Lantern Apartments to celebrate with Thredbo. Saturday night from 6pm
G.H.Mumm Long Lunch. ?This is the sell out?classic long weekend social event with the Long Lunch in the Village Square. ?Stretching from the hotel concourse all the way down into the Village Square.
The Blessing of the Snow Service in the Thredbo Chapel where Ski Patrol and Thredbo Community members gather to "Bless" the snow and pray for a safe and prosperous season for all. Sunday at 2pm at the Thredbo Chapel
Thredbo's Pool Party from 2pm to 6pm on?Saturday and Sunday at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel. ?Join ?the DJ's ?and get warmed up for the evening around the fire pits in the classic Thredbo Apres Snow Party.
