A 3km swim in Lake Jindabyne kicks off proceedings followed by a 130km bike ride from Jindabyne?into the mountains with 3200m of vertical climbing on route. ?The bike leg finishes at Smiggins Holes and then the 30km run starts with a final climb to the summit of Mt Kosciuszko before descending to the finish line at Rawsons Pass. Sited at the natural amphitheater at ?Thredbo's Friday Flat the Snowy Mountains Country Music Festival is a unique event with a stunning mountain backdrop close to Thredbo's village centre. Headlining at this years event is US star Kip Moore coming off a successful year with double platinum hits in the U.S. country charts. ? Kip will bring his high energy talents to Thredbo along with another U.S. country music sensation Kelsea Ballerini, tipped as the next Taylor Swift (who also performed in Thredbo) ?she is another rising star in ?country music.
