Are you looking for a couples getaway that is a little bit different to lying on a beach this summer? Are you ?action people?? Do you like a 'little bit of everything' and are tired of holidaying in destinations full of fast food outlets? If you haven't considered Thredbo before then you need to cast your eye at all the couples activities on offer as Thredbo ticks every box, every time.
You can buy tickets for these events at the estore. If you prefer your music a little more upbeat, there is plenty of poolside action over the summer. Poolside drinks and tunes on the 27th December and NYE at Thredbo both are very cool and popular events at Thredbo for fobbing off the heat and having a good time.
If you prefer to do your own self-guided walk around Thredbo, there are a good range of 3km to 13km walks that cater to a variety of fitness levels. Either stick to the village or the valley floor or add on a chairlift ride and walk to Mt Kosciusko, one of the seven summits of the world, it's quite spectacular.
Sunset Valentines Walk
If you're looking for something as an alternative to Valentine's night dinner in the metropolitan cities, try a sunset walk here in Thredbo. After your walk, the Thredbo Alpine Hotel has a Valentine?s Day themed dinner with champagne and chocolate for the ladies. What?s not to celebrate?
Biking
Thredbo and its surrounds have recently updated many of the biking trails and tracks and you don't need to be a biking expert to utilise them, or even own your own bike. If you just want to experience biking and are not sure if you like it there are easier tracks on the valley floor. As well as bike rides that are guided by expert riders and even transport available that can bring you back to the village, which is reassuring if you're unsure of you or your partner's fitness.
If you have a good level of fitness you can enjoy many of Thredbo?s downhill bike tracks by first doing a short safety course which shows you how to safely take a mountain bike up the chairlift. Abseiling and rockclimbing
Right at the top of Thredbo, K7 runs rock climbing adventures, a great thing to do as a couple to help build trust, confidence and great memories. Who says you two are boring?
Massage
Massage is available in your accommodation from a local mobile massage therapist. She can do remedial, Swedish, cupping or lymphatic drainage. A great way to end the day after a busy day of activities.

Crackenback Farm - if you love the whole country environment and the country air enabling you to stroll around and enjoy little aspects of country life, dine at Crackenback Farm. Just 10 minutes down the road from Thredbo village as well, opposite the distillery, food is French country style and the dining room is cosy and farm-like. Open Friday, Saturday, Sunday lunch from 12noon or dinner thursday friday saturday dinner from 6pm.
Central Road - if you're staying in Thredbo and you don't particularly feel like getting in your car to have a meal, there is a cute little cafe right in town that serves breakfast and lunch. It's very casual, you can take your newspaper to read outside or you could just go there for a coffee before or after doing an activity. Open Wednesday to Sunday from 8.30am for breakfast, lunch from 12noon. Portion sizes are generous. The menu is international, there is a variety of meal options ranging from to Chirozo and sauerkraut, curries salads, pork belly and salmon.
Terrace Restaurant?- above the shopping arcade in the heart of Thredbo is open for dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 6pm right across summer. The location itself ?is light and airy, the menu features trout, salmon, gnocchi, steaks, veal and some yummy desserts. Food is also available in the apres bar next door if the restaurant is closed on a Monday. It is a nice cosy, warm den of a place to have a drink, or sit on the balcony and soak up the sun.
