I know I keep banging on about it but the Thredbo Valley Track will be amazing, if they ever finish!? To be fair it has been a wet, wet summer and there were plenty of times when the track workers couldn't get any where near the job due to the Niagra like state of the river.? However steady progress is being made, particularly on the section between Thredbo and the Ranger's Station.
As the winter approaches three impressive suspension bridges are rising out of the bush giving the first clear idea of the scale of this project and the vision that the Kosciuszko National Park has to create an "Iconic" shared trail from Thredbo to the Ski Tube at Bullocks Flat.
The bridge closest to Thredbo is almost complete and the track leading to it has been prepared for the final gravel top.? While it is unlikely that the section will open prior to winter, by spring we should be able to start using it for riding, walking, running,? fishing and just soaking up this beautiful section of the river.? I can't wait.
