More than 260 cyclists from ACT, New South Wales, QLD and Victoria will cycle the 450km from Canberra to Charlotte Pass for the?15th annual Hartley Lifecare FAW Ability Cycle Challenge.
The Challenge helps to raise over $600,000 that is needed to provide programs and services to people living with disability in the ACT and surrounding regions.?The Challenge is a teams-based participation cycling event promoting healthy lifestyles and the Snowy region as a tourist destination.
Stephen Hodge of Tour De France fame, Lindy Hou, ?Paralympian cyclist and mountain bike champion Olympics 2016 contender Ben Henderson will participate in the ride, along with?a number of vision impaired riders piloted on tandems that are?hoping to make the entire distance again this year.
The teams will ride over three gruelling days from Canberra to Mt Kosciusko and return covering more than 450 kms in two stages: Friday 28th to Sunday 30th and Saturday 29thto Monday 1st December.
