Thredbo-Valley_Track?"Gravity is what we are all about" says Thredbo's Resort Manager Stuart Diver as he speaks excitedly about the future ?of Mountain Biking in Thredbo. ?"We have the chairlifts and we have an awesome mountain, we just need to make it happen." ? ?The good news is that it it is already happening. ?The ?Kosciuszko Flow Track is the first stage of a complete re development of Thredbo as a mountain biking destination. ?This track is designed to make downhill mountain biking something you can do on ?a normal mountain bike, without needing to get into difficult terrain. ?This track runs 7km from the top of the Kosciusko Express chairlift and brings riders back into the village on terrain that is suited to riders of intermediate skill or better. ?Due to start construction this summer is another "All Mountain Track" that will be 11km long and offer very cruisy flow track riding for low intermediate level riders and joining into the Thredbo Valley Trail to continue down the Thredbo River to the Ski Tube. ?Once completed this single track will offer over 30km of cruising downhill flow riding. To start ratcheting up for the potential this new track offers, Thredbo is starting a ?guided trail ride this summer season every Wednesday and Saturday with the Thredbo Valley Trail Ride, offering riders a chance to ride down the Thredbo Valley Trail ?to the current trail head at the Ranger Station where a shuttle bus will be waiting to bring them back to Thredbo. ?This is a low intermediate downhill track with a few short uphill sections. ?It is the perfect introduction to mountain biking for families and riders who are thinking of ?getting into the sport. ? The Thredbo Valley Track Trail Ride is $30.
