There?s only one thing better than following your passions and that?s doing it for FREE. And that?s what you can do down in Thredbo this summer with Randy Wieman?s series of photography workshops.

Randy has been Thredbo?s official Hotshots photographer for many years, taking snowsport photos all over the mountain as people enjoy their day. He says the most important aspect of taking successful photographs is that ?you have to think?.
He adds, ?If you attend my workshops here in Thredbo you are on holiday and you?re relaxed, you actually have the time and the space to think about your photographs. In the city, you?re racing around, thinking about other stuff?. That?s the beauty of these workshops.
So far this free summer Thredbo activity has proved popular. Randy has held three sessions, each session with about nine individuals ranging from teenagers to mid-fifties, individuals keen to learn and share their knowledge.
Workshops are more about ?getting to know your camera and what a camera does, rather than the subject matter itself. Randy sets everyone exercises to do and participants are encouraged to experiment, compare images and learn photography tips from each other.
The next workshop is a focus on Sunrise, held in Thredbo on Saturday December 20th at 6am. Randy says ?Thredbo is experiencing one of the wettest springs and summers of all time, everything is green and lush and nice?.
