Deck the halls, dress the tree and gather your friends as Thredbo will be full of festive fever as we celebrate a white Christmas in July.
Known in Australia as Yulefest, it is said to celebrate the halfway point to December 25 and gives Southern Hemisphere dwellers a chance to sample the spirit of a snowy winter in the mountains. With a cool mix of festivities on the schedule we are certainly going to celebrate in true Thredbo style.
The village Christmas tree will sparkle, the log fires are set and Santa is waxing his skis in preparation for the white Christmas celebrations. The main resort areas will be resplendent with baubles, tinsel and fairy lights and with live entertainment and Yuletide feasts there is plenty to do.
