It?s a quarter century of enjoying the sounds of jazz in Thredbo with the 25th Thredbo Jazz Festival taking place on 23 ? 25 March this year. To celebrate, Lantern Apartments Thredbo have put together a great value all inclusive accommodation package.
?The 25th year of the Thredbo Jazz Festival really is a milestone. The festival has always brought music fans to Thredbo for world class Jazz, Funk and Groove music in a spectacular alpine setting,? said Ian Foster, General Manager of The Lantern Property Group which operates Lantern Apartments, Lhotsky Apartments and Snow Stream Apartments amongst others.
?The festival really livens up the Thredbo valley at this time of year. And March is such a wonderful time to bring the family for an Alpine escape in the glorious mild autumn weather ? as the heat of the summer dies down and before the snowfalls start again,? Ian continued.
To coincide with the three day Jazz party, the Lantern Property Group is offering visitors a festival accommodation package which includes two night?s accommodation in four star Thredbo Apartment accommodation, all chairlift rides and full weekend festival passes. The package starts from only $296 per person, and is even less for groups.
?And with Australian and International jazz acts playing in venues concentrated in the Village Centre and at the top of the chairlift, you can park the car for the weekend and just soak up the vibe at your own pace,? Ian said.
This year?s Thredbo Jazz festival features some of the best jazz players in Australia, as well as funk & groove and jazz fusion performers of a very high standard. Some of the acts playing include saxophonist James Valentine and his quartet bringing a jazz feel to classic Oz Rock standards, Ian and Nigel Date playing the Gypsy Hot Club style, drumming legend Andrew Dickeson, Blues Soul powerhouse Ray Beadle, rising star Sarah McKenzie and many many more.
