On this walk you’ll not only conquer Mt Kozzie but you can experience activities such as, iconic Australian poetry being read on the summit and Australia’s Highest BBQ. 1. Experience Australia Day in a Magical Alpine Environment

After a 15 minute scenic ride on the Kosciuszko Express Chairlift you’ll reach the start of the walking track that leads up to the summit of Mt Kosciuszko. Join the other Aussie Day walkers for the fun hike out to Australia’s Highest Peak. You’ll have an opportunity to stop and take photos of the striking scenery and views, and keep an eye out for unique animals such as Kosciuszko skinks and mountain grasshoppers. Scenery as beautiful as this will make you feel proud to be Australian.

2. A Family Bonding Experience

Climbing Mt Kozzie on Aussie Day is a fantastic thing to do with as a family, and if you have younger kids it’s something they won’t forget in a hurry. They’ll get mementos to show their mates such as stickers that say ‘I conquered Kozzie’ and a certificate. It’s a great way to instill nationalistic pride in the younger generation.

The sausage sizzle is a gold coin donation with contributions from the event going directly to Children’s Hospital Foundations Australia.
