It is no surprise to find that the ?Thredbo River is classified as a ?Blue Ribbon??stream for trout fishing.? This means that only Lure and?Fly fishing are permitted in the stream.? The river is also closed to fishing from the June Long Weekend until the October Long Weekend.? ? You will need a fishing license -the same as required for coastal fishing-??but if you don?t have one you can purchase one at Thredbo?s chairlift?ticket office.
