Bikes are on a roll in the Mountains this Summer

Whether you are a road bike rider and MTB Downhill fan,  bikes are going to be big news this summer season in the Snowy Mountains.  There are  big bike events on over the summer that will see thousands of competitors coming from around the country and the world to ride in the mountains,   The first event is  L’Etape Australia.  This is a road cycling event like no other in Australia.  With 2 courses either 108km or 170km you can ride or race on closed roads around the mountains in the same race conditions experienced by riders in the Tour de France.  L’Etape starts in Jindabyne this year on Saturday December 1st.   We have accommodation in Thredbo with our 3rd night free offer.  Book accommodation online or call 1800 020 598

Cannonball will see the mountain bike world descend on  Thredbo for 5 days of gravity fuelled action  and a chance to take home a share of the record breaking  $100k in cash & prizes. The Cannonball Festival is Australia’s richest MTB event.  If you haven’t booked your accommodation yet, don’t wait, things are filling fast.  You can book accommodation online or call 1800 020 598

Flat turns are also a relic of mountain bike racing of the past. Here Graeme Mudd leans it in to get the holeshot and eventual win over Blake Nielson in the Dual Compressor final.
