Thredbo Winter 2017 Opening Celebrations

Snow Season 2017 is set start on June 9th with the Thredbo Winter 2017 Opening Weekend. It is a special celebration this year being 60 years since Thredbo started spinning lifts for skiers in 1957.    The weather is on board for the 60th.  As I type the snow guns are blasting away on the hill topping up the 20cm of natural snow..

The Mountain crew have been making snow on Merrits Cruiser, High Noon,  the Crackenback Supertrail and Friday Flat and  based on the current weather forecast they are  are pretty confident that we will have The Cruiser,  High Noon and Friday Flat all open for skiing next weekend.

If you haven’t been to Thredbo for the Opening Weekend then you are in for a treat.  it is one of the biggest party weekends of the season and when there is good snow conditions to boot,  the party is even better.  Check out the program below for the opening of Thredbo’s 60th Snow Season.
