This walk across “Australia’s rooftop” takes in views of Australia’s highest peaks, with some of the best alpine scenery on offer.
This unique and beautiful walk passes glacial lakes, the dramatic western side of the Main Range and unique alpine vegetation including the fragile feldmark areas. After a great day in the gorgeous alpine region the group takes a break at Charlottes Pass for celebratory champagne before being transported back to Thredbo.
This is a big walk – 19km in a day – so an adequate level of fitness is a must. Included in your ticket price is one way scenic chairlift access, return transport from Charlotte Pass to Thredbo, a guide for the duration of the walk and a Alpine Lakes Walk certificate.
Highlights include the visit to the glacial lakes, incredible views, an excellent workout in the fresh mountain air, and insights from your local guide who will accompany you every step of the way.
