Like mountain biking? Or not? Hit Thredbo in April

Bikes at LanternThe buzz around Thredbo is that everyone loves mountain biking. It’s charging ahead with new tracks and terrain. And it’s one of the great reasons to visit Thredbo in Autumn.

“With the new infrastructure in place for mountain bikers, as well as a new pricing structure for lift passes, Thredbo is awesome for keen mountain bikers  ,” said Ian Foster, General Manager of The Lantern Property Group which operates Lantern Apartments, Lhotsky Apartments and Elevation Apartments amongst others.

“Thredbo’s new Flow Track is pumping, and April is a great time to ride – it’s cooler and we’re still far enough out from the winter crowds.

“We want to encourage mountain bikers to come down and hit the mountain. We’d love to see new riders for the school holidays, and families with older kids too as it’s a top activity for ages 12 – 17 years,” Ian continued.

As an incentive for keen mountain bikers to visit, Lantern is offering the 3 for 2 mountain bike package*. This package sees guests paying for two night’s accommodation and staying for three. That’s three nights’ accommodation, twin share, and three days riding on a state of the art downhill bike with full body armour. The package also includes a free leisure centre pass and is available from just $497 per person. For people who haven’t ridden Thredbo before, there’s a mandatory induction course at a cost of only $30 per person.

“And of course, we’re welcoming everyone, even if you’re not into riding bikes. Autumn is a great time of year to visit the mountains regardless. We’re a great destination for the upcoming April school holidays, and we’ve still got plenty of availability for the days between the Easter long weekend and Anzac Day weekend,” Ian concluded.

All guests can also take advantage of the Autumn 3rd night free** deal where they can stay for three nights or more and save. Pay for two nights and stay for three, subsequent nights are available at 33% off the normal nightly rate.

* Terms and conditions apply. The 3 for 2 mountain bike package is not available over the Easter Weekend or on MTB race weekends, 15-16 March and 12-13 April.  First time riders will need to take part in an induction at a cost of $30 per person.
**Terms and conditions apply. The Autumn 3rd night free package is not available over the Easter weekend.
