The Mountain Bike Race season is set to kick off in Thredbo with Round 3 of the National Series Downhill on February 21st.   Tegan Molloy is one of  Thredbo’s local riders who will be bringing it all to this event which  will see Australia’s best downhill riders competing on the legendary Cannonball Run.  Tegan came 3rd in the World Cup Downhill Series.  At only 17 she has a bright future in the sport.    The Cannonball is renowned as the pinnacle downhill event in Australia and riders who take home the trophy from this race also get the kudos of  being a Cannonball Winner.

The next race on the calender is the 17th Australian Interschools  Championships with hundreds of students from around country competing in Thredbo   on the weekend of 14-16 March.   Riders will compete in 4 events, the downhill,  dual slalom, cross country and pump track.   With the Kosciuszko Flow track and Thredbo’s new pump track well bedded in after a year of use,  riders are looking forward to a big weekend.

The final race for the season is the first round of the NSW/ACT  State Series  Rocky Trails Downhill Roller Coaster on the weekend of April 12-14. You can book on our 3rd night free accommodation offer for all of these events with rates starting  from  as low as $98 per person for a 3 night stay in a group booking of 4 or more.
