The Snowy Mountains Muster
Posted on Tuesday, 18th of December 2012
Bring your Akubra, RM Boots and belt buckle, yer gunna need em! The Snowy Mountains Muster started years ago in Dalgety with the Stockman’s Challenge event testing horse riders for their skills, not just in one discipline but in a whole host of skills from riding, to roping and setting camp and striking camp at lighting speed. The Muster is on for 3 Days this year at the Station Resort in Jindabyne from December 29th. Not only can you see the startling skills of the riders in the Challenge, you can also see the world’s biggest horse, hear bush poetry, see working dog demonstrations, pig racing, a family circus, working bullock and draft horse teams and much more. If you are in Thredbo around the end of December then don’t forget to take a drive to the Station, near Jindabyne and check out this iconic Snowy Mountains Event.
