National Runners Week a Thredbo Institution.
Posted on Saturday, 1st of December 2012
National Runners Week is on again in Thredbo this January. The runners spend a whole week in Thredbo with events every day from serious running races to fun runs, games, tennis tournaments, volley ball, mini biathlons and more. Thhis is a great event for the whole family or for more serious running enthusiasts
One of the more prestigious events on the program is the Crackenback Challenge, a grueling race from the Village to the Top of the Kosciusko Express Chairlift at Eagles Nest. However fun is the focus of this 33 year old event and it has a great history as Thredbo’s longest running summer event. The Event is organised by the Canberra YMCA Runners Club.
