Whether you’re looking for a big night out or to just sit and enjoy a quiet drink, Thredbo has some top bars and nightclubs on offer. Here’s a few.
THREDBO ALPINE HOTEL: The Hotel offers the widest choice of bars in the village with the Bistro leading the way as Thredbo’s largest Pub. The Schuss bar, located upstairs from the bistro is a smaller nightclub style bar that usually operates until 1am in winter and limited nights during the peak summer periods. The Keller Bar is a larger nightclub that does the late nights in winter and some limited periods over the summer season. The Lounge Bar is just as it sounds, with a fireplace, piano and subdued atmosphere. More at http://www.rydges.com/hotel/1/RNTHRE/Thredbo-Alpine-Hotel/restaurants.htm
THE HOUSE OF ULLR: The Ullr is named after the Norse god of snow and is a fun, more cosey alternative to the Bistro if you are looking for a pub. With Karaoke nights, and all of the sports on the big screen it is a favourite of the locals. Located just behind the service station on the Mowamba Place. More at http://houseofullr.com.au/
BERNTIS CAFE: While not actually a bar, Bernti’s Cafe has a light Tapas Menu so you can take a few small dishes from this tasty fare and then settle in for a few drinks in one of Thredbos classic party spots. More at http://www.berntis.com.au/
THE APRES BAR AT THE DENMAN: Like everything at the Denman, style is what sets the Apres Bar apart. Cosy fire, subdued lighting and great service make this an excellent choice for a quiet drink in the heart of Thredbo. More at http://www.thedenman.com.au/bar
RIVER INN. Located next to Friday Flat the River Inn has a cosy bar on the reception level. A handy choice if you are staying at Snow Stream and do not want to walk back into the village centre. More at http://www.riverinn.com.au/
